Rick is a two time Emmy award winning broadcaster with more than 30 years of local television experience. He started Rick Quan Productions in 2008 and has produced videos for numerous non- profits, including the Chinese Historical Society of America and
Kristi Yamaguchi's Always Dream foundation.
Rick is currently the 10 pm news anchor for the ABC affiliate in Honolulu, Hawaii. He has produced the award winning documentaries, "Dancing through Life: The Dorothy Toy Story and "Mayor Ed Lee". Most recently he wrote and produced
"Legacy of World War Two: Honoring Hawaii's Heroes" for KITV4.

This is a a trailer about a half hour documentary I recently wrote, edited and produced about Kauai's Larry Ramos, the first Asian American to win a Grammy. A child prodigy with the ukulele, Larry went on to achieve fame with the New Christy Minstrels and The Association, breaking color barriers along the way.
